Oh so famous is The Hardware Societe. It's constantly talked about and its reputation most definitely precedes it. I'd been looking forward to it for a long time, so when I was up that way my friend and I decided to just endure the line and give it a shot. Half and hour later we were seated, and in my opinion it was worth the wait. My mocha had pure melted chocolate through it, and came with the chocolate and coffee separated between the cup and a cute jug. I've never seen that before. More importantly, it was a beautiful coffee; quite above average. I also ordered the chocolate and banana bread and butter pudding pictured below. It was average. We didn't try any savoury meals, as we weren't in the mood for lunch that day. I'd like to go back for breakfast some time.

Piatella was another random discovery. It's a new establishment and I was expecting something average, as for the most part Glen Waverley has pretty unimpressive coffee. I was happily surprised by the quality, however, and thoroughly enjoyed my coffee. I haven't tried the cakes yet, but I'd really like to. I'd definitely recommend it. In fact, I already have.
